“Waves Extinguish the Wind. Archive” was a collaborative audiovisual project between musician Elina Bolshenkova and artist Katya Kukol, created in 2022. The authors wanted to create immersive entry points into a version of their future, merging soundscapes with drawings, and reflecting on the political crises in their home country. This artwork helped them provoke a conversation about the future and heal a little. They hope it can help others in a similar way.

This is a digital and physical documentation of their artwork, presented in a form of compact discs and actual sized prints of the drawings. It is recommended that you listen to the soundscapes and view the corresponding images at the same time.
