The Memory Of Things

Glass-mastered CD housed in mini-LP style sleeve. The sound materials of “the memory of things” appear to emerge from a time that does not exist, or has yet to exist. It is not the memories themselves that are important, but the way we connect them: we tangle, we weave, we classify by improbable, sometimes unheard intervals. Selvedges are crossed and paths are traced. Our attention is drawn to the noise heard just behind us. Things’ memories are forming a time capsule. We build a memorial and sound structure by piling one layer of the present on top of another. It is a landscape with immediate depth to which our ears remain attentive
