Danses Organiques, presented here in its original 50 minutes version (an abridged 45-minute version also exists), could be a ‘strange meeting between two girls and a tape recorder’ and is one of his most unorthodox, lively and sensually charged pieces, recorded between 1971 and 1973 in a period when he was leaving the official studios to build his own independently. It was ‘completely recorded on my small machines: I recorded the single tracks separately and then superimposed them to create an organic whole’
