The All Chemix Radio broadcast series started mid 1980s and amounted to several dozens of 30 minutes plays, each documented on cassettes sent to radio stations worldwide. Launched by “The Institute for Invisible Language” and through The Radio Art Foundation in Amsterdam, it was actually the brainchild of Willem De Ridder, a radio and TV activist
A noted fluxus artist, De Ridder, born 1939, launched the erotic magazines “Aloha” in 1965 and “SUCK” in 1969. He is a member of the Fluxus movement with several contemporary sound art pieces, like “Laughter” (1963): “Musicians appear on stage wearing laughing masks and remain motionless untill the audience is roaring with laughter”
People involved in the All Chemix Radio series (approx. 1984-1994): Z’ev, Alvin Curran, Jon Rose, Annie Sprinkle, Hessel and Nicole Veldman, Cora Emens, Kristine Ambrosia, Veronica Vera, Prince Lobckowicz, William Levy, Andrew McKenzie, Enno Velthuijs, Henry Plaat, Hans Claessen, FNTC, John Duncan, amongst others
