“Here are 14 miniatures that swing back and forth between images of nature and civilization, worlds and times, 40 years back and 40 years into the future. One could find orientation and support in the past of German electronic music, from 1975 to 1985, that is just as timeless, because courageous. Let us remember Cluster, Möebius and Rodelius or Conrad Schnitzler
A commune in the countryside. And then there would be this image of a person, reading Garcia Lorca or Lautreamont in the heat in the countryside, longing for the city life. In the large kitchen on a sloping stone floor a modular system whistling like an overheated tea kettle. It may be presumptuous to speak of innocence, but statements are always an element of the creative world. Then came pop and it can also be found here. Because this music speaks of beauty and the idea of a better world. Don’t let all this be too complicated. It’s simple, it speaks and creates 90 frames per minute like the slow beats of a swan’s wings. Sequences like heat – it’s 35 celsius degrees.” Detlef Weinrich (Tolouse Low trax)
Jose Guerrero aka Telomante lives in Valencia where he runs the label Mascarpone Discos. A prolific producer, he is running multiple projects such as Sentuhlà on Abstrakce Records or Rastrejo on his own label. “Codantera” is a contemplative stroll through soundscapes that leave a lot of space for improvisation, where harmonic fields and abrupt experimentations meet on the same level. The sonic warmth and the strength that emanates from it make this album a jewel of minimalist electronic music
